Son of Joseph Sekaquaptewa & Lisa Umtuch, younger brother to Michael Sekaquaptewa and Rosalyn LeGarde.
Lee graduated from Granger High School in 2009 and briefly attended Washington State University for the pursuit of acquiring a Bachelors of Fine Arts (currently incomplete), but had hoped to first pursue a degree in Music Composition. Other accomplishments include arranging and playing piano for a 1924 silent film, Braveheart, for the Yakama Nation Film Festival. Lee was also a diplomat and student speaker, one of two, for the 2009 NALEO Conference held in Washington, D.C. speaking on behalf of students and importance of education and improving education in public schools. During the time he was involved with American Cancer Society/Yakama Native American SpeakOut, T.A.T.U., Native Truth Film Project, Yakama Nation Youth Council, Yakama Nation Film Festival, and school organizations such as Art Club, Chess Club, M.E.Ch.A, Indian Club, and Class Officer.
